A World of Opportunity
At Rogue Valley Manor, you’ll find a truly remarkable array of amenities and programs designed to stimulate your interests and expand your horizons. Right here on campus you’ll find everything from gardening to golfing, bocce ball to bicycling, woodworking to weaving, and just about everything in between.
Whether you’re looking to indulge yourself in a favorite hobby or pursue new avenues of cultural, recreational, or educational adventure, you’ll find exciting opportunities all around you. The Manor hosts more than 100 interest groups, which are formed by residents who share a quest for knowledge, passion for a project, or enthusiasm for an endeavor.
Take, for example, the Play Readers Group, which meets weekly to engage in a staged reading and then share in lively discussion. Or the Walk America program, which takes participants on an imaginary trek across the country as they log mile after mile. Residents with a musical flair share their talents in the Music Group, Jazz Ensemble, and Choir. Other residents kick up their heels in tap, ballroom, and line dancing classes. Tennis? Tai chi? Pickleball? We have those too. You name it, and you’ll likely find a group that shares your interest—and if not, you’re welcome to start one up yourself!
Stay engaged attending a number of on-campus lectures, seminars, and special events. Serious topics range from health issues and financial planning to current news events. More lighthearted events include holiday socials and visiting entertainment of all kinds.
Should you find yourself looking for even more to engage your mind, you can enroll in one of the many lifelong learning courses offered in the Rogue Valley. Nearby Ashland is home to Southern Oregon University (SOU), which has one of the nation’s most active Road Scholar Programs, as well as the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Many Manor residents enjoy being both students and professors in the OLLI program.
