Medford, Oregon — Pacific Retirement Services announced today the bond closing for the construction of its affiliate, Mirabella at ASU. Mirabella at ASU is an innovative 20-story Life Plan Community located on the Arizona State University Tempe campus. The $250 million in bonds was issued by The Industrial Development Authority of the City of Tempe, Arizona, for the construction of Mirabella. Construction will begin in January 2018.

Mirabella at ASU offers urban access and resort-style venues along with an unparalleled university-based retirement experience. Penthouse and apartment homes are spacious, ranging from 751 square feet to 2,665 square feet. World-class amenities support healthy living and offer social opportunities, lifelong learning, and entertainment. The amenity-rich high-rise includes four dining venues, three of which are located on the penthouse level, an indoor pool and wellness center, an event center, a library, and underground parking. Under a proposed collaboration agreement with ASU, residents of the community will be able to attend and participate in Arizona State University classes, activities, and programs.
As a continuing care community, Mirabella at ASU offers multiple levels of care to support aging in place. These levels include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing Care in all private suites. An on-site Wellness Clinic will also offer a variety of services and therapies. The community will have approximately 252 independent living apartments, 11 assisted living apartments, 20 memory support suites, and 21 private skilled nursing suites.
Mirabella at ASU will open in August 2020 on an approximately 1.89-acre parcel within Arizona State University’s Tempe campus, bordered by E University Dr and S Myrtle Ave. Ankrom Moissan Architects, Inc., headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is the architect for the community; construction is by McCarthy Construction Company. Building design is complete and building plans have been submitted to and reviewed by the City of Tempe, who will issue a permit.
This is the third Mirabella CCRC for PRS. The first is Mirabella Seattle, opened in 2008, in South Lake Union, Seattle; the second is Mirabella Portland, opened in 2010 in the South Waterfront neighborhood of Portland.
