COVID-19 Vaccinations & the Road Ahead
University Retirement Community is grateful to now have the vast majority of our residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This represents a hopeful new future ahead, as we work to safely reopen the services and amenities they’ve patiently and admirably foregone for the past year, including dining venues, fitness facilities, social spaces and more. We remain cautious in our approach and will continue to abide by CDC and local guidelines regarding occupancy levels, social distancing, mask wearing and enhanced cleaning protocols.
Health & Safety
Masks will be worn at all times by all staff members, and by residents when outside their home.
Social distancing of six feet will be observed, with limited capacity enforced in common areas.
Common areas and high-touch surfaces cleaned and sanitized regularly.
The Care & Comfort of Our Residents
Maintaining our residents’ wellness, social connection and quality of life remains our top priority, so we’ll continue to offer fitness classes, resident interest groups, and other social activities virtually as well as in person.
As dining venues reopen, we’ll continue to offer the option of in-room meal delivery to accommodate resident preference and maintain capacity limits in dining areas.
Housekeeping services remain flexible, allowing residents to use them based on their comfort level.
