Health Care Therapy & Services
Physical Therapy Services
The physical therapist designs treatment programs that increase safety awareness; decrease pain; and improve strength, endurance, and mobility. Individuals who have difficulty walking, transferring, and getting in or out of bed can benefit from the physical therapy program. Treatments include progressive gait training, neuromuscular re-education, balance control, transfer training, wound care, pain management, muscular strengthening, and stretching programs. We encourage family and caregiver participation in our treatment programs.
Occupational Therapy
The goal of occupational therapy is to help patients function as independently as possible within the limitations of their physical abilities. Individuals who have difficulty dressing, bathing, and feeding themselves can benefit from occupational therapy. Treatment programs may include range of motion exercises, strength conditioning, practice in the activities of daily living, adaptive dressing and bathing, adaptive equipment training, cognitive and perceptual tolerance, and functional mobility training. An occupational therapy program can also include patient, family, and caregiver instruction and involvement.
Respiratory Therapy Services
Respiratory therapy is offered using state-of-the-art equipment and supplies to help relieve respiratory distress associated with cardiopulmonary and neurological diseases. Treatment programs include oxygen and breathing therapy.
Speech and Language Pathologist
The speech and language pathologist treats voice, articulation, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Our pathologists work with individuals who have had a stroke, head injury, viral infections, neuromuscular diseases, and neurological diseases and injuries. The speech and language pathology program applies specific therapeutic techniques to restore or improve people's communication abilities.
