The Rogue Valley is rich with cultural and recreational offerings. The nationally acclaimed Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Oregon Cabaret Theatre are located in nearby Ashland. Other cultural venues include the Craterian Theater, the Rogue Valley Symphony, Chamber Music Concerts and the Medford Jazz Festival.
The Rogue Valley is home to more than 30 art galleries, many of which offer classes in art and art appreciation. In addition, there are specialty gourmet shops and many boutiques and shops offering antiques, unique gifts, and fine apparel.
Recreational opportunities abound throughout southern Oregon year-round. The Rogue River offers world-class salmon and steelhead fishing, while the numerous mountain lakes offer excellent trout and bass fishing. Manor residents also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, cycling, skiing, rafting, kayaking, sailing, recreational boating, and jet-boat rides along the wild and scenic section of the Rogue River. And because our region has such a mild year-round climate, the Valley is home to 50 vineyards and wineries. Each year, residents and visitors alike enjoy touring the wineries and tasting recent vintages.
The Valley—and the Manor campus itself—is home to world-class golfing. The Manor has its own 9-hole Quail Point Golf Course, as well as the 18-hole Quail Point Putting Course.
The Manor is also a sponsor of the magnificent 18-hole Centennial Golf Club, which was designed by John Fought. In 2010, readers of Golf World magazine voted Centennial as the #6 golf course in the United States and as being among the top 50 public courses in the nation.
