Thanks to our splendid dining program, healthy eating is easy. Our Dining Services Team prepares food from scratch each day, creating delicious heart-healthy meals. There are several entrée options to choose from each day, so no matter what you’re in the mood for you’ll find something that will nourish your body and delight your palate.
In helping you to stay fit and physically active, we offer an on-campus Fitness Center with treadmills, stationary bicycles, and weight-training equipment, and plenty of space for exercise classes including low-impact aerobics, yoga, or stretch and tone. Susan Jordan, our Recreation Director, loves working with residents one-on-one to customize programs that suit their personal needs.
University Retirement Community also offers a beautiful heated outdoor Pool so you can swim laps or take aqua-aerobics classes. You can also enjoy sitting poolside, chatting with fellow residents, and relaxing in the Spa.
Exercising your mind, which is just as important as exercising your body, is also easy to do at University Retirement Community. Residents participate in Elderhostel, as well as the many lifelong learning programs offered at nearby UC Davis.
