Saratoga Retirement Community Fall 2005 |
|
Studies show that an invigorating and healthful life is easier to achieve at a Continuing Care Retirement Community, and Saratoga Retirement Community’s 37-acre campus provides multiple tools and opportunities to maintain your strength and independence. We’ve designed our amenities and services to increase activity, support good health, relieve stress, expand interest, and encourage social interaction—all ingredients of a remarkable senior lifestyle. Here are just a few:
New Indoor Pool and Spa: Swimming is known to be one of the best exercises available, especially for seniors. It works every muscle group, the heart and lungs, provides strengthening and aerobic benefits, while it also takes pressure off the joints, connective tissues, and lower back. Everyone can enjoy it, even some who are overweight, with leg or back problems, or arthritis. Excess salt and water leave the body, and it is known to gently rehabilitate and relax muscles and joints that have stiffened or atrophied. Fitness Center: Weight training is known to be beneficial for many seniors, improving strength, balance, mobility, and the ability to carry out activities of daily living. In response, our brand-new Fitness Center has machines tailored specifically to your needs. Wellness Programs: Gentle and nerve-calming exercises such as yoga, tai chi, and stretch classes relieve stress and increase circulation, and preventive Wellness Checks are excellent health management tools. |
