Built in 1999, the Plaza offers spacious, exquisitely appointed residences, all of which have private balconies and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, pear orchards and pastures, Centennial Golf Course, and the city lights of Medford. Residents Ann and Dunny Sheldon have lived on the west side of the Plaza for a year now, and they absolutely love their apartment and the views. She says, “The sunsets are gorgeous, the mountains are spectacular, and we really enjoy watching all the eagles and hawks as they ride the wind currents. Dunny and I also love watching the clouds as they approach and move through the valley. There are so many different types of clouds and they are absolutely magnificent.” Plaza apartments are available in one, two, and three-bedroom styles and all feature full kitchens, large baths, walk-in closets, and more. Many have been customized with gas fireplaces and other touches that add to the ambiance. Residents Ramona and Bill Templin have lived at the Plaza for two years now. Bill says, “Of course we enjoy the sunsets, the beautiful views, the mountains in the winter when they’re dusted with snow, but what we like best of all is the camaraderie of the people who live in the Plaza. We’re like a big family here—we look out for each other and we all genuinely care for each other.” Ramona agrees, “We’re so glad we made the decision to come here. It’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We absolutely love our apartment, and we’ve become friends with so many new people. Also, everything is so handy here. The Fitness Center is right downstairs, along with many other wonderful things.” The Plaza boasts its own Art Gallery, which presents the work of artists and photographers from the Pacific Northwest. Each month there’s a new collection to enjoy and often, the artist holds an opening reception so residents can meet them and learn more about the works. The Wine Tasting Room is also something residents from across campus enjoy. Residents can reserve this beautiful venue for a private party and work with the Manor’s fine Catering Department to host any type of festive occasion; everything from birthdays and anniversaries to private dinners and holiday parties. The Plaza's Dining Program is popular with everyone on campus. Its beautiful Dining Room is open six days a week for both lunch and dinner. There’s also a fabulous Sunday Brunch each week. The Club Lounge welcomes residents to take a seat, enjoy the beverage of choice, and relax in the company of friends and neighbors. Many residents from across campus come to the Plaza’s Lounge for bridge and other card games, discussion groups, checkers and chess games, and other leisure pastimes.
