In keeping with our philosophy to support residents in aging successfully, the Manor is moving forward with an expansion and remodel that will beautify the campus and add a number of new amenities. Work has already begun on preparing the site for the Health Services expansion, which will add additional common areas, residential-living apartments, private nursing care suites, and a restaurant-style Dining area to campus. The main Manor Dining Room is getting a complete makeover, with new furnishings, fixtures, and fine appointments throughout. In addition, the Manor’s Front Entry and Front Lobby are being updated and redecorated to make them more comfortable and inviting. The Fitness Center and Pool area in the main Manor building are being expanded, adding more than 2,590 square feet. The expansion entails doubling the size of the existing Fitness Center to add more floor space for exercise classes and more room for residents using the cardiovascular equipment and strength-training systems. The treadmills and cardio machines will have individual televisions so residents can enjoy entertainment during their cardiovascular workouts. There will also be one stationary bicycle with a built-in television. This new equipment was purchased with funds from the Rogue Valley Manor Foundation. The expansion will also add a number of new amenities to enjoy, including a sauna, two steam rooms, and two massage rooms. The entire Pool area is being completely renovated: the Pool will be re-plastered, the surrounding Pool deck will be resurfaced, and beautiful new wall tiles will be installed. The men’s and women’s locker rooms are also being expanded and remodeled as part of this project, which is scheduled for completion in July. Executive Administrator Kevin McLoughlin says, “We’re very excited about expanding the services and amenities we offer to residents. These additions and enhancements will add to the quality of life for everyone on campus.
