Late last year construction of Trinity Terrace’s new City Tower got under way, much to the excitement of the future residents who’ve already reserved their homes there. When it’s complete the City Tower will be 16 stories high and will add approximately 200,000 square feet of living space to the com-munity, including 80 spacious Independent Living apartments with balconies and fabulous views. It will also add several new common areas, including a new Club Lounge, a large Auditorium, and a Fitness Center with an Indoor Pool, Spa, and Salon. Many of the City Tower’s stylish new residences have already been reserved, largely because Trinity Terrace’s Executive Administrator, together with the PRS Development and Construction Teams, worked closely with prospective residents in designing them. For example, when prospective residents said they wanted apartment homes that offered more square footage than typically found in senior housing, the PRS teams worked with architects to create floor plans that conformed to those desires. That’s why the apartment homes in the City Tower include two-bedroom, two-bedroom-plus-den, and Penthouse apartments with up to 2,000 square feet of living space. They will be the largest brand-new senior-living apartments in Fort Worth, and possibly all of Texas! What’s more, Trinity Terrace has owned its land since 1975 and has had an existing infrastructure since that time. Because of that the new construction at Trinity Terrace can be built at a lower cost per square foot. And that translates into Trinity’s being able to offer the City Tower apartments at a cost far below that of its competitors! Executive Administrator Brian Young says, “Everyone at Trinity Terrace, the residents and the staff, are looking forward to the new amenities and opportunities the expansion will add to the campus.” Brian also says that working with the PRS Development and Construction Teams has been a pleasure. As he describes it, “This has been a wonderful experience. The PRS people know exactly what needs to be done and how it needs to be done. In particular, the oversight that Project Manager Bobby Davis has provided has been invaluable. Every phase of the project has gone smoothly —everything from the planning and the architectural design to the actual construction of the building, which is progressing on budget and on schedule.” Because he hasn’t had to manage construction oversight, Brian says he’s had time to focus on how best to deliver the new services that the expansion will require. He says, “My Department Supervisors and I are already working with PRS Human Resources to recruit the excellent new employees we will need, and we are working with Purchasing to acquire the new equipment and furnishings we’ll need. And, of course, we’ve been working with PRS Operations all along, even before construction started. It’s incredible to have such an experienced team of people guiding us along. But then that’s one of the major advantages of being part of an organization like Pacific Retirement Services.” Back to PRS Annual Report Index
