New PRS Office Opening!
Certainly, one of the most exciting things to happen this year is PRS announcing that it will open a brand-new Corporate Office so that it can more easily serve seniors living in the Eastern half of the United States, which includes the Midwest, the South, and the Eastern Seaboard. PRS President and CEO Tom Becker says, “Our mission to create and enhance lifestyle opportunities for seniors is not limited to the Western half of the United States; however, our corporate headquarters are on the West Coast. Rather than have staff members spend large amounts of time traveling from coast to coast, we felt it would be more effective to open another PRS Office to serve the Eastern, Southern, and Midwest areas of the U.S. We feel very lucky to have recruited some of the finest talent in senior-living to run the new office.” Heading up the new office is Martin Satava, who comes to PRS from a very well-respected company that develops, markets, and manages Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). In his new position of PRS Executive Vice President of Development, Eastern Division, Martin will oversee all aspects of developing and acquiring new CCRCs in the Eastern half of the U.S. Martin brings with him 24 years of experience in the senior-living industry. In his immediate previous position, he served as Executive Vice President and was responsible for overseeing approximately $1 billion in successful CCRC developments. His duties included creating and implementing corporate strategies, managing and overseeing the day-to-day development activities, and coordinating all corporate services during development, including securing entitlements, financial feasibility and modeling, project budgeting, directing design activities, and regulatory assessments. He was also charged with negotiating all third-party contracts for both the development and financing of the communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stetson University and a Juris Doctor from Florida State University’s College of Law. He was one of the first attorneys in the Southeast to specialize in CCRC development and financial transactions. Working with Martin will be Jackie Woodard, who is the new PRS Vice President of Development, Eastern Division and Kent Phillips, who was recently hired as the new PRS Vice President of Finance, Eastern Division. Both Kent and Jackie previously worked with Martin in the development and financing of CCRCs. Kent has more than 20 years of experience in senior-housing operations and finance and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. Jackie has 10 years of experience in developing luxurious senior-living communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis. Please join everyone at Pacific Retirement Services in welcoming Martin, Jackie, and Kent to our outstanding team!
