What we Offer at Cascade Manor

DiningFine Dining
Thanks to our splendid dining program, healthy eating is easy. Our Executive Chef Richard Pool and his culinary team prepare food from scratch each day, creating delicious heart-healthy meals. There are several entrée options to choose from each day, so no matter what you’re in the mood for you’ll find something that will nourish your body and delight your palate.

poolFitness and Wellness
In helping you to stay fit and physically active, we offer an on-campus Fitness Center with state-of-art treadmill, stationary bicycle, and strength-training equipment, along with an Indoor Pool where you can swim laps or take water-fitness classes. You can also take low-impact aerobics that incorporates yoga stretches for cool down or take a balance class to improve muscle tone and flexibility. Donna Widener, our Fitness Center Coordinator, loves working with residents one-on-one to develop a fitness plan that suits their personal needs.

Artistic & Intellectual Pursuits
gardeningCascade Manor residents are a diverse group of people with interests that encompass the arts, poetry, literature and writing, horticulture and gardening, and much more. There’s even a group of residents that get together to discuss the world’s most controversial issues. They’re dedicated to honest, open communication regarding the most difficult and exciting challenges people in the modern world now face.

exhibitsCultural & Recreational Opportunities
Eugene is known for its vibrant sense of community and culture. The Hult Center for the Performing Arts hosts musical, theatrical, and dance acts and artists from around the globe. It is also home to the Jacobs Gallery, which hosts an exciting mix of rotating art exhibits. Cascade Manor residents regularly take day- and evening trips to the Hult Center where they enjoy the symphony, ballet, theatre, paintings, masks, statues, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities
VolunteerAdele Ismert, our Director of Resident Services, has been working with the Lane County Historical Society, KLCC, and local schools to create an oral history program called the Elder Voices project. Students from neighborhood schools have been visiting Cascade Manor and meeting with residents to learn about their personal histories. It’s wonderful for residents who greatly enjoy the intergenerational social contact; it’s also enriching for the students and helps them to connect with the history of the community and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
