History, Mission, & Values

Mirabella Portland was the second Mirabella-brand Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) developed by Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (PRS). It was designed as a senior living community where people could make the next chapters of their lives the best chapters of their lives. The Mirabella philosophy embraces the notion that age is just a number, not something that defines who one is or how one feels.

The name Mirabella was chosen because it can be loosely translated from Italian as “beautiful vision,” which reflects PRS’s goal of helping residents create a vision of their future that is bright, vibrant and exciting.

Mirabella Portland was incorporated in 2007 and welcomed its first residents in September 2010.

In 2008, before it even opened, Mirabella Portland received the highest design honor, a Merit Award, from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design for Aging Review program.

In addition, it has achieved the highest possible rating, a Platinum certification, through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

OUR MISSION: Mirabella Portland is a premier continuing care retirement community that enhances the lives of seniors.
