Easter Sunday Brunch
An Easter Brunch will be held in Seasons on Sunday, March 31, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The brunch will feature cherry wood smoked ham. Reservations are suggested.
There are 2 working enlargers (reading machines) in the library for residents with limited vision. One is in the computer room, the other on the left near the windows. Please let me know:

All trips will depart from the MainGate entrance while the Henry St. entrance is being remodeled. Sign up at the MainGate desk starting the Friday before the departure date, unless otherwise indicated.
April 2, 10 AM - Paoli–Art Gallery & Cheese Shop Paoli has a charm all its own, nestling among rolling hills and rural scenery, with scenic vistas in every direction. We'll visit the Art Gallery, get a bite to eat, and then head over to the tiny stone cheese shop where you can pick up tasty cheese curds and other dairy delights.
April 7, 1:00 & 1:40 PM - Van to Madison Symphony Orchestra The van will depart for the Overture Center at 1 PM and 1:40 PM, to allow time for residents to attend the pre-symphony lecture or tour the galleries prior to the start of the concert. Those who go on the 1 PM bus will be the first group to return after the concert. Please wait for the bus driver to load the bus according to the order people originally signed up. Your patience and understanding is appreciated. We will make as many trips as necessary, but obviously many residents will need to wait for the second or third pickup.
April 13, 10:40 AM - Van to Aging & Disability Resource Center Open House The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will hold an open house on Saturday, April 13th from 11am-1pm. The ADRC provides free, unbiased information about resources and services for older adults and adults with disabilities. The ADRC opened in November 2012 and is operated by Dane County Department of Human Services. It is located in the Northside Town Center (Sherman Plaza) at 2865 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. Come learn about the ADRC's services, tour the facility, and enjoy refreshments and fun. Dane County Executive Joe Parisi will offer welcoming comments at noon.
The Spiritual Life Committee is seeking a volunteer piano player for our sing along at the Health Center on Wednesdays from 10:30 - 11:15am, and on Mondays in Terraces (on Ivy) from 10:45 - 11:30 am. Please contact Guta at 283-2004 if you are interested.
Volunteers are needed for the CLRA Nominating Committee, to develop a slate of officers for the coming year. Contact Margaret Andreasen at 256-9312 if interested.
Volunteer are needed to start the DVD's for our Netflix films, and especially, to ensure that the DVD is put in the mail when the film is over so that the next one will arrive without delay. Training will be provided - it's easier than you think! Call Mary at 283-2003 if interested.
Alzheimer's Advocacy Day
The Alzheimer's Association Advocacy Day is Tuesday, April 16. Contact Paul Golueke of the Alzheimer's Association, (414) 479-8800 or firstname.lastname@example.org to register for this event. Registered guests will hear a presentation on Wisconsin's priorities for Alzheimer's Disease at 9:30 AM in the Grand Hall, followed by lunch and legislative visits in the afternoon.
Starting the week of Monday, March 25th we will begin cleaning the parking stalls. If you have any items sitting outside your storage area or in front of your car please have it removed by then. If you leave and go out I will try and catch you while your out. If you don't move your car much or at all please call 283-2051 and schedule a time for your stall to be cleaned.
Unwanted Medication Collection
Lynn Phelps will be collecting unused medications, ointments, etc., on Monday, April 1st from 10 to 12 in the Art workshop Room, PL level to the right of the Heights elevators.
Shakespeare and History Class
There will be no class on March 31 in observance of Passover and Easter. Sessions will resume on April 7 at 6:30 PM.
Voting in the April 2 Election
Special Note: Be sure to see the County Advisory Referendum, which concerns allowing registration at the polls on Election Day.
Absentee Ballots. These have been mailed from the Clerk's Office. If you have received one, be sure to mail it before Election Day or bring it to the polls here on Election Day.
Voting on Election Day. Capitol Lakes is our polling place. To vote, you will have to be registered at your current address, including Apartment Number. You will NOT need a Voter ID.
You can register at the polls on Election Day. To do this, you must present acceptable written evidence of residence address. In addition, be prepared to provide the number on your Wisconsin Driver's License or Wisconsin ID card if one has been issued or, otherwise, the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
Unsure of Your Voter Registration Status? Call the City Clerk's Office (266-4601) or go to http://myvote.wi.gov.
An Election Information Notebook with sample ballot, the League of Women Voters' Candi- dates' Answers and information from newspapers has been placed in the Dunham Library on Floor C.
