Alika Castillo – Executive Director
Alika has worked in the senior living industry in a variety of roles for more than a decade. He joined URC in 2005 when he was hired as the human resources director. Just months later he was admitted into PRS’s Administrator in Training program, where he began learning about all aspects of CCRC management. In 2006 he was promoted to health services administrator for URC, overseeing everything related to skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care. In 2015 he succeeded Matt Neal as executive director.
In addition to a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Alika holds a California Nursing Home Administrator’s License and he’s a certified administrator for Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly. Alika resides in Davis with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, Hawaiian music and language, and riding the many bike paths and greenbelts of Davis.
Jacque Bartholomew – URCAD Board Chair
Retired Vice President, Wells Fargo Bank
Mrs. Bartholomew began her career with Wells Fargo Bank in 1965 and served as Vice President and Manager from 1984 until retirement in 2006. Mrs. Bartholomew serves on several advisory boards on the UCD campus and was the first woman president of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, first woman chair of the Davis Chancellor’s Club, chair of Library Associates, and the first woman president of the Davis Rotary Club. She was honored to be awarded the CAAA Jerry W. Fielder Award for distinction to the alumni association, foundation, and the campus as a whole. Mrs. Bartholomew and her husband Wayne were the first non-university-related persons to be named Parade Marshals for the annual Picnic Day parade. They have been involved in all major capital campaigns for UCD and the Medical Center in Sacramento. Mrs. Bartholomew is currently serving as a mentor for the Guardian Scholar’s Program at UCD.
