Cascade Manor has been serving the seniors of the Eugene-Springfield area for nearly 40 years. The plan to build Cascade Manor began in 1961, when three local churches joined together to create what would become the first and only Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Eugene. These three sponsoring churches—First United Methodist, First Congregational, and Central Presbyterian—shared the goal of forming a community where seniors could live in comfort with the security of knowing that if their health status changed over time, supportive residential services and nursing care would be available to them "at home" at Cascade Manor. The building's construction was completed in 1967, and the first residents moved in shortly thereafter.

Since that time, Cascade Manor has provided residents with comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, a variety of recreational programs and activities, and—most important—the peace of mind that only comes with continuing care.

Cascade Manor is an affiliate of Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (PRS), a nationally recognized leader in retirement living. PRS, headquartered in Medford, Oregon, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create and enhance lifestyle opportunities for seniors. The PRS family of organizations includes several affiliated Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), non-affiliated retirement communities, affordable senior housing centers, a community services division, and charitable foundations that benefit residents of PRS communities.
