Management of Aging Services is an undergraduate Business Administration degree option that will prepare you for a professional position in the aging services industry—a business sector that is guaranteed to grow as the U.S. population ages. According to the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, the population of Americans aged 65 and older will reach 71.5 million by 2026. These people will require a wide array of specialized services.

The Management of Aging Services curriculum provides comprehensive education and practical experience in the operations, marketing, financial management, development, construction, leadership, and management of organizations in the aging services industry.

Participating students will receive both broad and specialized views of the aging services industry, practical experience through internships, leadership and management skills, career placement opportunities, and networking opportunities with industry leaders and executives.

This degree option is being offered through a partnership between Southern Oregon University (SOU) and the School of Aging Services at Pacific Retirement Services (PRS). Southern Oregon University is a public liberal arts and sciences university. It provides access to opportunities for personal, intellectual, and professional growth through quality education and scholarship. The rich liberal arts and sciences curriculum is balanced with career-focused preparation. SOU serves approximately 5,000 students with more than 100 areas of study, including 34 majors at its Ashland and Medford campuses.

PRS develops, owns, and operates, not-for-profit entities that include Continuing Care Retirement Communities, an affordable senior-housing division, a community services division, and charitable foundations. PRS is a nationally recognized leader in the retirement industry.
